A Szegedi Tudományegyetem évtizedek óta tartó kiemelkedő színvonalú oktatási, kutatási és művészeti tevékenységét, fenntarthatóság és társadalmi felelősségvállalás iránti elkötelezettségét, valamint magas szintű gyógyító munkáját tükrözik a felsőoktatási rangsorokban elért kiváló eredmények. The current University of Szeged (SZTE) was formed in 2000 and is made up of twelve constituent faculties and nineteen doctoral schools, which consist of a range of departments and research groups. Each faculty functions autonomously. In addition to these, the university also operates the Health Centre of the University of Szeged, an extensive teaching hospital responsible for public regional healthcare.
The University of Szeged is one of the most popular universities of Hungary, occupying high places in all the international rankings. The number of its academic research and teaching staff reaches 2300 teaching and training up to 25 000 students. It has been considered for years as one of the world’s best 500 universities and it is known as a green institution.
The Interdisciplinary Centre of Excellence at University of Szeged has an enormous scientific knowledge as well as facility background of material science and technology which is used for the most modern way of battery diagnostics and mapping (e.g. exceptional microCT, SEM-EDX, in situ XRD etc. as well as electronic diagnostic systems with glove box applications). We also have a strong focus on second life and end life of the batteries in a way of scientometric analysis as well as developing an accredited system for diagnostics for used batteries.
