Description
The mission of the Central Research and Industrial Relations Center of ELTE TTK (KKIC) is to support materials and life science research of particular importance to the faculty, to operate the instrument complex necessary for research and to carry out research work of an international standard, to participate in tenders, to involve students in research work, to participate in doctoral training. An important goal is the efficient operation of the available instrument park, as well as making these tools and R&D services accessible to industrial and other external partners.
The most important unit of the center is the “Core facilities”, which includes the research laboratories and the supporting infrastructure. For industrial and other external partners, the research laboratories can provide services covering many experimental methods and measurement techniques. Among other things, our competences include the application and development of modern analytical and material testing methods (electron microscopic tests, Raman spectroscopy, electrochemical and electroanalytical tests, battery testing, laser diffraction methods, X-ray diffraction and X-ray fluorescence methods, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, electrochemical-mechanical and nanomechanical characterization, mass spectroscopic methods, nuclear chemistry methods, dating, etc.), processing of measurement data, modeling of systems and processes, and solving R&D tasks using the available equipment.
The supporting infrastructure consists of various workshops (glass technical, mechanical, electrical). In all workshops, it is possible to order individual or small series devices. In addition to repairing commercially available products, the glass workshop also undertakes the production of unique glass tools.
